Isn’t it natural to pass wealth to children? How can any “system” stop natural behavior?

T he purpose of every social system is to convert destructive natural behavior into productive artificial behavior. How does it help anyone when families are constantly fighting against one another instead of cooperating? Competition is only constructive if the score resets to 0-0 after the game. When one group of families consolidates wealth and power without ever resetting, they dominate society and the rest of us lose our freedom. Just like we create fair rules in sports to protect the fun of the game, let’s build fair rules in society to protect us from the corrupt power of nepotism. Let’s make a rule that rich families are not allowed to have destructive power. The millionaire inheritance tax protects your children from cruel aristocrats.
